[East Berlin, CT – June 3, 2024] Fletcher Business Group (FBG) – a leading provider of solution-driven technologies for a wide range of industries – including custom and OEM picture framing; sign & graphics; hardware; woodworking; and float and glass fabrication industries – is announcing the acquisition of Simms Machinery, Inc., a leading solution provider in the Pre-Hung Door Industry.

Established in 1993, Simms Machinery has sold joining solutions for pre-hung door assembly in 44 states of USA, Guatemala and Canada. Simms uniquely offers a complete machine package that includes delivery, installation and onsite machine operator training.

Simms Machinery has been selling AMP branded Underpinners and V-Nail Fastner Technology since 1995 and has a well-respected name and reputation in this industry.

Simms Machinery, Inc. has been in business since 1993 and is a second generation owned business started by Dan’s father, Gordon Simms. Mr. Simms sold Shelling Panel Saws, Multi-cam CNC Routers and Brevetti joining machines primarily to the furniture industry. Early in 1995, Dan Simms joined his father’s business and began selling AMP joining machines. A few customers agreed to try the joining machines to assemble door casing and discovered it worked great. It was far superior then the old kerf and spline method.
